Many people who look for Calgary roofing
contractors neglect to make the necessary background checks, if you may. They see a colorful ad, well-designed website
or catchy radio or TV ad, and hire the contractor, no questions asked. Unfortunately, they end up regretting their
decision to hire the company – sometimes the bill’s too high, sometimes the job
took too long to complete (yet appeared rushed), sometimes there were poor work
practices observed, sometimes all of the above.

Ask the contractor everything you feel is
important. If you don’t know what these things are, we’ll get you started. Does the company have worker insurance? How long have they been in the business? Any referrals? (You’ll have to speak to those referrals
afterwards – to be sure the Calgary roofing company is telling the truth.) What are your options should something go
awry in the roofing process? Any
additional costs that could be incurred?
The list could go on, but those questions definitely have to be
asked. Don’t be left with a case of
buyer’s remorse – don’t be shy to quiz those contractors!

Thanks for the post. This is all too true. I had an issue with roofing contractors in Calgary not too long ago which resulted in my project being delayed for a client and I almost took a loss on the project. Doing some simple credibility checks is well worth the time. Thanks again.

ReplyDeleteThank you for this article. I agree that when we are looking for a roofer in Calgary we need to make sure that we can trust them and maybe even talk to people who have had work done by them, just to make sure that we are going with the right roofer.
